THE EARRINGS
This piece is inspired by meteors, comets, fireballs and shooting stars. Also, it has a great visual influence from Chinese art. For example, Zhan Wang’s “Artificial Rocks” sculptures or Jiang Chen’s “Holes in a Stone” sculptures, Liu Dan’s "Strange Rocks" paintings or Kemin Hu’s Scholar’s Rocks art collection have had a great influence on the process of drawing the first sketches of the design.
This unique design has been carefully created to emulate space rocks, with organic shapes, irregular and imperfect but full of details. Since ancient times, seeing a meteor in the sky has symbolized that a gift was given by heaven. It often represents a mystery coming from some incredible force larger than ourselves, the cosmos.
